The Libertarian party has always been one of free thinkers and good ideas. It’s a shame that we run under the two party system that we do as it would be nice to have someone else in the White House for a change. Vice Presidential nominee for the Libertarian party, Jim Gray, made a statement at Imperial Beach in CA endorsing medical marijuana! This is huge news as people in such positions rarely associate themselves with the drug.

Yes on Proposition S

jim grayJim Gray endorsed all of the medical marijuana initiatives on the ballot in November for the San Diego county. This event was set up by the Yes on Proposition S campaign, so Gray naturally supports that proposition as well. Before Gray was the VP nominee, he was a presiding judge of the Supreme Court in Orange County. It’s no surprise that a man with such an exciting life has so many things to offer the community. While the Libertarian party always fights for good ideas and what they believe in, it is hard for them to get a word in because everyone is so fixated on the Democrats and the Republicans. Perhaps a huge change in political party is what our country needs right now.

Jim Gray Before His Nomination

He was most famously known as a judge for the Supreme Court in Orange County where he presided over many years. Gray also right many books like the favorite, “Why Our Drug Laws have Failed and What We Can Do About It – A Judicial Indictment of the War on Drugs.” Jim Gray was also a member of the California Judicial Council and a member of its advisory committee on Juvenile Law. He was Alcohol Advisory Board of Orange County Supervisors, as well as the advisory boards of the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and the Orange County Law Library. Finally, Gray was also a member of the Board of Councilors for USC Law School. Leading such a rich and full life, Jim Gray is sure to make an outstanding vice president if elected.

The Libertarian Party

jim grayyNo matter how many of our county’s problem this party could potentially fix, it seems highly unlikely that anyone from it will ever get into office. People are just simply too fixated on the Republican and Democratic parties to see that there are other and probably better options out there. But we can all make a difference if we go out and vote this November. It’s easy to think that your one vote will not make much of a difference, but no one would vote if they always thought that! Every voice matters, no matter how small. If you want to make a difference in the country, you can start by voting for the Libertarian party in the upcoming presidential election. It will be a big change, but our country needs one if we want to get back on the right track.
